AGBAMI Project
Account TECHNIP France, since December 2007, three heavy lift vessels of BigLift Shipping are doing a total of 5 roundtrips from northern Europe to Nigeria for the AGBAMI project from Chevron Texaco.

The 3 vessels, HAPPY RIVER, ENCHANTER and TRAMPER are carrying all underwater flowlines required on the offshore field, either coiled on standing reels of up to 310 tons and 11,40 meters high or coiled into carousels of up to 2200 tons and 22 meters diameter.

The picture shows Mv ENCHANTER loaded with a 2200 tons carousel on her deck and making ready to sail from the port of Rouen to Lagos in Nigeria.

AREVA steam generators
Both sister vessels Mv TRAMPER and Mv TRANSPORTER, geared with 2 x 275 tons cranes have carried 3 newly fabricated AREVA steam generators of 365 tons each from ex river barge Fos Sur Mer to another river barge in Le Havre, in 2 direct shipments.

These 3 steam generators are part of a maintenance program of a french nuclear plant from Electricity of France and are replacing 3 old generators during a well scheduled shut down of the nuclear plant.

During the year 2007, 4 heavy lift vessels from the BigLift Shipping fleet participated to 2 major offshore related projects, the MONDO Kizomba C project from Exxon Mobil in Angola and the Moho Bilondo project from TOTAL in Congo.

The 4 vessels, HAPPY RIVER, ENCHANTER, TRACER and TRAVELLER were chartered by ACERGY and all cargoes loaded in various north european ports were transfered by the heavy lift ships cranes and crew to the new laying vessel POLAR QUEEN.

BigLift’s flag heavy lift vessel Mv HAPPY BUCCANEER geared with 2 cranes of 700 tons each made two consecutive roundtrips from Japan and Korea to Vietnam carrying and discharging on trailers all major pieces of the new Dung Quat refinery, for account of Technip in France and JGC in Japan, with their forwarder GEODIS.

Heavy lift vessel Mv TRACER geared with 2 cranes of 275 tons each made 3 roundtrips from the northern Europe to Angola with many heavy reels loaded with flowlines, other reels loaded with steel wires and heavy chains, all for account of FlexiFrance and Acergy, and the 3 trips dedicated to the Greater Plutonio project from BP in Angola.

GIANT MARINE secured 2 major projects, BAOBAB in Ivory coast and WHITE ROSE in the Newfoundlands of Canada. Heavy lift vessels HAPPY ROVER and ENCHANTER loaded from various European factories large and heavy piles and reels of flowlines. ENCHANTER took a full load of 29 reels to Canada !. After few weeks transferring all reels to laying vessels DEEP PIONEER and CONSTRUCTOR, she returned to France with all empty reels.

Heavy lift vessel HAPPY ROVER loaded in Moss (Norway) and Le Trait (France) a full load of heavy reels and offshore laying equipment for the BONGA project in Nigeria. The vessel has sailed to Nigeria to meet with the laying vessel Deep Pioneer to feed her with cargoes, and will be used as a floating storage for a while, before she returns all empty reels to Le Trait.

Fourteen ships sections of 195 to 430 tons for giant cruise vessels in construction in Saint Nazaire at Alstom Marine shipyards have been shipped by 3 HAPPY ships, loading and discharging the blocks using their 2 cranes of 400 T SWL. The third shipment included seven sections of the largest cruise vessels ever build, the QUEEN MARY 2

The largest heavy lift vessel HAPPY BUCCANEER has carried 7 large and heavy modules for the BELEMA project. These modules measuring up to 43 x 19 x 20 meters and weighing 783 Mtons were loaded and discharged by the 2 cranes of 550 Mtons of the vessel.
